WHAT IS A HOLLANDER?
A Hollander is a machine which grinds and beats vegetable fibres to prepare a pulp that can be used immediately in forming a sheet of paper. A Hollander comprises a beater with an adjustable blade (distance and pressure) in order to subject the fibres to a process of shortening and hydration. Depending on the type of plant fibre utilized and the proper use of the Hollander, the forming of the sheet and its strength can be optimized.
Manufacture of 30 and 120 litre Hollanders for handmade papermaking as well as for industrial use up to a production target of 200 kg.
